His indefatigable impetus for discovery lead him to sail as far as the icy borders of the pole caps. So he sailed towards the Northpole into the Arktis and towards the Southpole into the Antarktis.
He was active for years as professional skipper and sailing instructor on yachts up to 65 feet (20 meters) on several seas around the world.
He was a repeated winner of the Antigua Sailing Week and Guadeloupe-Antigua Race.
He was employed by the Firm Jeanneau and Beneteaux.
He tested satellatenavigationtools on the atlantic for the VDO company.
Various regattas with Christian Scherer of Team Alinghi.
He participated in the UBS Alinghi Match Race (Swiss Tour).
Dieter Kuhn holds the licence as official measurer for Swiss-Sailing.
He holds licences for deep sea navigation, wireless and astronavigation.
